Chapman brings auto financing in house
Chapman Las Vegas Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and Chapman Chrysler Jeep in the Valley Automall are helping find solutions for consumers who are affected by tough economic times. Both now offer in-house financing on vehicles in order to assist buyers who otherwise would have been turned away because of credit concerns.
“In the recent economic downturn, some people have lost their cars because of job loss, bankruptcy or other unfortunate events,” said Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram General Manager Don Hamrick. “The reality is that everyone needs a reliable vehicle to find employment and keep it. Our goal at both Chapman dealerships here in Southern Nevada is to help good people in bad financial situations stay mobile.”
The in-house finance teams at the Chapman Las Vegas dealerships work with employed candidates who make at least $350 a week. Since the on-site financing program began in February 2011, Chapman dealerships have assisted more than 300 residents with purchasing used cars in Las Vegas and its surrounding communities.
Chris Duncan of Las Vegas is a recent example.
“Chapman made me feel like a person and not a credit score,” Duncan said. “They were able to work with me on a low down payment and got me a great price for my situation. Chapman helped me like no other dealer could.”
“Our in-house financing program is far more flexible compared to a bank or lending company,” added Chapman Chrysler Jeep General Manager Gary Brewer. “We’re not looking for people with perfect credit. We’re reaching out to people who have a steady job and are making an effort to rebuild their lives and their credit. Since the program was instituted, Chapman has become the number one dealer in loan generation. It’s been very well received in the Las Vegas community.”
Oftentimes young families inquire about the program. A standard two-door car will not do for a family looking to get back on its feet. The selection of eligible vehicles at Chapman includes various makes and models including cars, trucks and SUVs ranging in price from $2,000 to $16,000.
Chapman is committed to offering funding for the in-house financing program for as long as the public demands it.
Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep sells and services new and used vehicles and is located at 3175 E. Sahara Ave. at Mojave Road. Chapman’s Value Center is located on Boulder Highway at Sahara.
